This episode was originally written in two halves. Part One: Fox takes the day off with a migraine, but turns up for the relief's paintball charity challenge, where Santini continues to bully and humiliate her. Conway is angered that Hollis is recruited as team leader for the ranks, but it's the relief who have more to worry about with a mystery gameplayer called 'The Terminator'. Part Two: Boulton and Rawton have their prime suspect, Michael Sourby, in court for attacking the pensioner, but during an interval, he attacks a security guard and manages to escape. Hagen and Page chase him into an abandoned care home, where he takes an unsuspecting Fox hostage, and it's up to Santini to protect her from harm.
