Gayle and Stamp discover the body of drug addict Abbey Ferguson in a derelict building, whilst searching for a distressed young girl, and the trail of evidence leads back to her pimp Danny Peters. A prostitute claims she saw the violent client dragged Abbey's body downstairs. When this turns out to be false, she is arrested and has to give up Danny. When it conspires he killed Abbey for not sleeping with the violent punter, he injected her with a large dose of heroin. As Moss and Turner confront him, he arms himself with a needle.
